Wireless card eeprom hacking

I spent too much time trying to replace the cruddy (cause it’s not the best card in Linux) Broadcom 4318. HP has the BIOS tweeked so that it will only accept one type of card. I really wanted to switch to an Intel card. Even the HP branded intel card won’t work. The card works fine if I install it after the laptop has powered up. I’m calling price fixing on this one.
